I've been asked to write a post on how to do your makeup for photos. Instead of being longwinded, I have decided to separate my advice into several posts. Since I know I learn better with the help of visual aids, I have decided to introduce my how-tos with a video by celebrity makeup artist Kandee Johnson.
In my last post, I was a little harsh on poor Kandee. Maybe it's guilt or something, but REGARDLESS, I think anyone can benefit from watching Kandee at her finest. This video will help get you started with a basic approach to makeup for photography.

Growing up, I never expected to work in the beauty business, but I always knew my life's calling would involve finding an outlet for my creativity and helping others. My love of makeup began when I was heavily involved in theatre, and stage makeup has remained one of my passions. After studying creative writing and nutrition in college, I worked for many of the top cosmetics companies on the market--both in retail and as a freelance artist. Moreover, I'd like to help new models in local and secondary markets embark on rewarding careers in the fashion and beauty world where accurate and helpful advice is hard to come by.
